My husband and I handmade some of our wedding decorations using these small wooden rounds, and had a bunch left over. I decided to use them to make Christmas presents for my family last year.

I only gave myself the month of December to paint all thirteen, so it was a bit of a time crunch to get them all finished! It was also a big challenge working on such a small scale, especially with the ones which required more detail.

A lot of my family are into Pokémon so this was a common theme; the rest are inspired by other favourite things, and a few are based on passed loved ones.

Overall I’m very happy with how they all turned out - it was a real test of my ability, so I’m proud to have completed everything, and made many loved ones tear up on Christmas Day!
